Fort Denison
Once an open air prison for recalcitrant convicts, this island in the middle of Sydney Harbour was formerly known as Pinchgut. Tours of the fort include the ferry crossing and two hours on the island where you'll about its history and enjoy splendid views of the city.

Royal Botanic Gardens
To escape the crowds of the city centre, visit the glorious Botanic Gardens. Established in 1816 on the site of the infant colony's first farm, this 30-hectare oasis is a botanical treasure house. Don't miss the tropical plants in the pyramid glasshouses. Take the free daily guided walk around the Royal Botanic Gardens with one of the volunteer guides and gain an insight into the history of this magnificent site as well as some of our weird and wonderful plants, daily at 10.30am (except Public Holidays) departing from the Visitor Information area near the Gardens Shop.

Sydney Harbour Bridge
The Sydney Harbour Bridge, one of the city's major icons since its completion in 1932, has pedestrians access from The Rocks. On the way, take the elevator to the pylon lookout where there is a small display of Bridge memorabilia. Or book a BridgeClimb tour which takes you along the steel arch to the very top of the Bridge where you will be amazed at the panoramic city vista.

The Domain Adjacent to the Royal Botanic Gardens, The Domain is a venue for outdoor concerts, while the northern section is nearly surrounded by the harbour. Gates are open sunrise to sunset.
